Default Rapid Fire Gear - Cutting Insulation

hey, I am starting to install my rapid fire gear lite, what should i cut the insulation with?

Do you mean the enamel on on the controllers pcb, or are you talking about the insulation on the wires?

If you are talking about the wires that are included with the kit, then any pair of wire strippers or even your teeth will work. If you mean the enamel on the pcb covering the ground where the yellow wafer pcb anchors to the controllers pcb, then use an exacto knife and scrape those parts to expose the copper underneath.

I heard that a fiberglass pen also works, but I went with the x-acto.

I've not tried a fiberglass pen, had no idea they existed, heh. But an exacto knife or any hobby knife works pretty good and is very sharp. The traces are really small and in some cases in pretty tight places, but if you can find another tool that makes it easier then thats even better

yeah make sure to get deep enough but not to deep. also u might wantot check which pcb and rapide fire controller you got first you don't want a head ache like mine trying to get the bugger to work.

yep, you have to make the via nice and shiny, and then it should be easy to solder on to.
