XFPS Sniper Issues (multiple)
Over the last year and a half since purchasing the XFPS Sniper, it's worked very well, with the exception of an occasional 'locking'. When playing a first-person shooter, for example, on occasion my controls would lock in place, and not accept any further inputs, even from the attached wired Xbox 360 controller. After unplugging and re-attaching the XFPS connection, control inputs would resume, and I would continue play as normal. This happened about once a day or so, so nothing too bad.
However, about 8 months ago the "Program" function of the XFPS has created an issue more drastic to my use of the device. After a 'locking' episode, I unplugged and re-attached the XFPS to my 360 as usual, but only certain buttons responded. I attempted to re-program my keys by holding the P button down to clear the button mapping, as per the instructions, and re-map my keys.
Unfortunately- and this is the primary issue- however I map the buttons, pressing the left mouse button functions as both the Right Trigger AND the "Xbox button" (which brings up the dashboard interface). I've tried multiple combinations of mouse and keyboard (both USB, both PS/2, one of each) with the same result. It's like the XFPS is assigning the Xbox Button and the Right Trigger to the same key or mouse button simultaneously.
The default configuration does not have the same issue with the RT and Xbox button registering at the same time, but does have the "lock-up" issue occasionally.
I have tried with two different Xbox controllers- a Joytech Neo Se, and a MadCatz controller, which I didn't purchase until the Program function issue started happening.
Additionally, when performing the instructions 'controller swap' to allow the system to register the XFPS unit initially, certain games will not even recognize the controller at all, namely Valve games such as The Orange Box and Left 4 Dead.
Please help if you can, but regardless, I appreciate that you'd even consider hearing my issue.
