Default help how to solder copper pads that were scraped

hello i really need help on how to solder the pads that you need to scrape the insulation off of. I tried to add solder to it but it seems not to stick even when I heat it a while. how clean does the point need to cleaned so that the solder sticks to it. and what type of solder do you use, im using lead free solder

The point should be pretty clean, just be sure not to take too much off or go outside the point as this will cause the point to be grounded to the matrix on the pcb. I found the points very easy to solder to once they were scraped on both a v1 and v2 pcb.
