Question Rapid Fire Gear Pro - Yellow PCB Positioning

I just thought of something, Am I suspose to scrap the 6 spots I solder the Yellow PCB to? If so, should I redo this, do they provide a connection or do they just hold the Yellow PCB in place? The Yellow PCB seems to be pretty secure.
