Question Rapid Fire Gear Pro - LB0 & RB0

I trying to install the Rapid Fire Gear Pro on my version 2 wireless controller and I can't figure out how to get the LB0 & RB0 wires to solder to the controller board. They both appear to be soldered on the xBox Controller board over a pin hole (in the instructions, is there traces around the hole?), but the solder doesn't seem to want to stick to the board, maybe I am not scrapping deep enough. Any tips/tricks/instructions would be appretiated.
At first I had a similar problem connecting the VCC wire but after browsing through the forums, I figured you scrap the trace entering the hole (it is pretty easy to scrap in the center of the trace) a little before soldering it, this provided some silver stuff for the solder to bond too. But the traces for the LB0 & RB0 holes are way smaller.

You need to scrape the insulation off the point and solder to it. Just stop when you get enough copper showing through to make a connection. A picture would also help.

for the 6 soldering points, are they all pin holes or do you have to scrape some traces as well
