Default XBA Still disconnects - Fix doesn't work

So I am on cross battle adapter #2, still the same disconnect problem. I tried the "fix" - doesn't work. What are the odds I got 2 defective units in a row? I have 2 ps3's in my house right now, and it does it on both. Have tried 2 different controllers, and it still does it. Any help would be nice.

I tried the same thing (Settings > Power Save Settings > Controller Auto-Off [set this option to off) and it still disconnects. I hope they can fix this soon.

ok, Do I return this one? We should all just keep returning them until they fix this thing. Can we at least get a response? Is there anything else we can do? I have already spent an additional $10.00 to ship back one "defective" unit. - though I don't think it is defective. Sounds like this is what it is. Is there a fix in the works?

Well i emailed the engineers in china about this earlier last week and they said they are working on a fix, but they say it only happens on certain consoles and most people don't have any problems with it. I'm not sure what the deal is at this point. Best thing to do is email them at xcm.cc and see what they have to say in response. I keep in contact with them on a weekly basis, but haven't heard back regarding this issue since last week. If you hear something different from them let us know.

I recieved my new unit today, tested for about an hour in Bioschock, Killzone 2 demo and COD4 and in that period it disconected 3 times . I thought it was a problem from my unit but now i dont know what to think, wether im very unlucky,( two bad adaptors) or theres something wrong with this thing

Tried the fix and it does not work, as i said in the other thread mine was/is always set to off.

Ill try to e-mail xcm.cc to see if i get any response.

Edit: e-mail sent, lets see if they respond.

I have 2 friends who have them and they have had the same problem. Both of them have the 80gb ps3's, but I have the 60gb one. One of them did not get any disconnects until last night. Personally, I can't go 20 minutes without a disconnect, and to be honest at this point I am sick of getting up, unplugging and replugging it back in. As much as I like to use my 360 controller, it just isnt worth it. That leaves me with a $50.00 paperweight.

Again, the sad thing is I wish this thing worked. It is JUST what I was looking for. As for a free fix? I am not optimistic. I know people complained about the responsiveness of the XFPS, and XCM's solution was to release a new one and then another new one... that you had to buy of course. I am sorry, but it seems like we are soon due for a XBA-PRO or something like that, that I will have to shell out another $50.00 for if I want one that actually works. I hope I am proven wrong, but I will bet dollars to donuts I am not.

I have a Euro PS3 60GB model. Brand new wireless pad and I'm getting the disconnections too, sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not. I have tried the 'fix' also.. Something needs to be done about this. I'm not very happy that my $50 has been paid to a flawed bit of what could be a great peripheral.

I got another response from the engineers today, it seems they used a chip in the device that is not 100% compatible with all ps3 consoles, they said about 20-30% of the consoles out there do not like the chip they used and they are working on getting a new chip that will work with all the consoles. Once again this is part of the process since they do not send out thousands of units for beta testing, they do in house beta testing which is limited to the equipment they have on hand. So in other words a new fixed version should be coming in about 3 weeks and if you have trouble with yours disconnecting then you'll need to wait until the new units arrive at the respective retailers and then send yours back to be replaced with the newer version which should not have this problem. So just enjoy it the best you can for now until the new units arrive and then the problem will be solved once and for all. It seems alot of people had disconnect issues because of the settings posted on the mainpage, so at least that helped solve a few peoples problems. But anyhow stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
