XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 Problem

Hello everyone. Im new to the site & would appreciate any help that may remedy this particular problem. I just purchased the Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 (Purple one) for the PS3 (Slim)

When i plug in XCM adapter via USB; the blue LED "XCM" light will not even turn on nor blink like it says it would in the user manual. I've done some reading & it does say it's compatible w/ all PS3s including Slim-line versions.

With the constant updates in Firmwares that sony puts out for it's consoles perhaps there might be a compatibility issue or maybe I just ended up with a defective "XCM" unit.

Could the team of XCM or anyone else out there confirm to me that it does work w/ their consoles? (Particularly Slim PS3 versions w/ latest system software 3.15 or newer).

Correction blue LED "XCM" light will flash once & then completely turns off & stays off.
