Default So now I have the Black/Rumble version

The original Blue version worked great except for random disconnects. TEAMXCM said sorry but new chip will fix it. So I went and spent the extra 20$ for the Black Rumble version. This has even more problems and can't stay connected for more than 30 seconds. So now I have $150 invested between product and shipping, etc. But no working device.

HELP?????????

Yes, serious as a heart attack!

The Black/Rumble version is like not working now at all (it was a little when I first started using it). I'm thinking this can't be how XCM is knowingly shipping this new version. It must be defective.

Also, looks like XCM is having these units made in China. So QA and reliability might be lacking even if the basic design is sound.

Anyhow, going to return and give it another try.

Let me know how yours turns out.

Actually all XCM products are made in China, they always have been as XCM is located in Hong Kong, China. So thats nothing new, they have always had good quality products though. Not everything made in china is junk, remember most of the stuff you buy is made in china and sure some of it is garbage, but companies who pride themselves on having good stuff make sure their products are made to exact specs. However a few defectives here and there are to be expected no matter where it is made. It does sound like your unit is defective, just send it back and get a replacement. Thats really all you can do. At least its not deceptive like MS was with the 360's defects, XCM responds to the problems swiftly and makes any needed corrections as problems arise, they don't lie about problems or try to sweep them under the rug. The problem here is there are too many situations to beta test against. The manufacturers of the different consoles make changes on a whim when parts get cheaper from a different souce. And since the unit is not endorsed or licensed by sony or microsoft, you can bet from time to time a problem will arise from the changing hardware specs.

Finally recieved my plus edition. So far so good on a couple of Killzone 2 multiplayer, but im not risking to say more at this point.

XCM fixed the issue with the triger sensitivity i reported a while back, good job on that one, guess they read my e-mail

Yeah i think they addressed most of the issues with the plus edition. Its important that people realize the first edition of any product may not have all the kinks worked out. I remember all the problems they had with the original iphones, and etc. People get upset when things go wrong, thats only human nature, but early adopters have to realize they are taking a chance by being the first to have something. Generally speaking the second version of any product is usually vastly superior to its predecessor. Anyhow for those who held off buying the adapter, now is the time to pick one up.

A couple more days testing the plus version and here goes what does not work very well so far.

Sometimes the adaptor does not power itself up, or at least i think that happens. The blue led doesn't lit up and the guide button continuously flashes, and the controller does not work. To resolve it, i unplug and replug it.

I dont know if this happens with all units but, when any button is in rapid fire mode, the sensitivity on the trigers disapears, meaning if you just press a little it assumes you're pressing the button all the way down.

Other than that it works just fine, and no disconects so far, which for me was the biggest problem.
