Default XCM Crossover Switcher

Hello,

I purchased a XCM HDMI/DVI crossover selector, this and when I got it, I tried hooking up my PS3 and Xbox 360 into it and the selector into this. I currently use two of the monitors, both going into my computer, and was hoping to use one of them to play mah games in HD. Yet, when I turn on the system and hit the input button, it says there's no signal to be found.

Am I doing something wrong? Is the product defective? Should I get something else?

Sounds like the system is not set to the right resolution, set that before hooking it up and be sure the resolution you set it to is supported by your monitor.

If by right resolution, by right clicking the desktop, selecting properties, settings tab, and matching it to the monitor 1440x900, then yes... unless you mean something else.

Edit
Also, after giving it some thought, I also tried changing the display settings on my PS3. Still no dice.

Edit 2:
I think I figured out what was wrong.

I looked over the instructions again and I think it's because I'm not plugging my computer into the Selector's what making it do this. Gonna head over to radio shack real quick and see if another DVI cable will fix it.

Edit 3:
Didn't get the cable. Just tried having the monitor connect directly into the switcher and to the Ps3. Still nothing. Think i got a dud.

The resolution on your desktop doesn't mean anything, you need to check and see what resolutions your monitor supports and set the console to that resolution.

I am having the same issue. i recently purchased the xcm crossover selector and i have a Samsung syncmaster T220. It says it is HDCP compatible but when i connect both ends of the dvi (one from computer to the xcm crossover and the crossover to the monitor) the screen just comes up blank. i dont have a clue what to do.
