Default Periodic blackouts with XCM Mega Cool & 22" monitor

I am having a problem with my XCM Mega Cool. I have a Wii and a PS2 plugged into the Mega Cool via component cable, and those plug into my 22" 2253BW Samsung LCD monitor.

The monitor functions correctly when used with my desktop. However, when I use the Mega Cool to play games, the screen will periodically (every several minutes or so) lose the picture and go black for a few seconds before returning again. All of my cables are plugged in correctly, and everything else functions fine except for this blackout problem. Is there a way to fix this, or did I end up with a defective unit?

do you spot any artifacts? when this happens. Perhaps the box itself is loosing power? Monitor the light if any at all to see if it is loosing power when this happens.

Only thing I can think of and if so would probabl be a faulty box. For the HDMI blaster theres a blue screen if the console is not on, do you get this with the VGA box? if so try and leave it there for a while see if you black out at all.

No the box is not faulty. It loses power if there is even a slightest power fluctuation. The entire idea of USB power is bad for this box. It should have been AC power as in other vga boxes or TV boxes. I am having a bad time with this because we are having lots of power flucs in our area. Maybe I should get one AC to USB power adapter. But the box isn't faulty. I'm sure about it.

The usb to ac adapters are pretty cheap these days, you can find them on ebay for next to nothing. I'm not trying to stick for xcm on this, i'm just trying to help.

It is not a power fluctuation problem. See my posting:
