I'm having the same problem and I'm using a PS2. I have the XCM 1080P mega cool box and I also bought the XCM multi-consoles component V1, because I noticed that I was missing 2 cables to insert into the 1080 box, a blue one and a red one. However, I only get sound and no visual if I'm using the box and multi-consoles component cables V1. When I just put the original right, left and video cables from my PS2 into the 1080 box, I have sound and visual but the picture is in black and white. I have a 17" Dell CRT monitor and integrated graphics card. I have put my monitor's VGA cable in the VGA output slot of my 1080 box but there is a VGA input slot which I'm confused about, because my monitor doesn't have any more VGA slots and the instructions I got with my box say that I have to connect both VGA cables both ways.

I would really like to get some colour to my games if possible.

Hey, here's an easy solution to your issue.

- Simply go to CONFIGURATION SETTINGS in the Main Menu of your PS2.
- Go to COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
- Select Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr there

See this pic here:

That's it.
You're ready to go.
Hope this works.
Please reply after you do this.
I want to get this XCM box, but I don't know about the results on PS2, that's why I am waiting to place an order.

Hey,

I have the same problem and setting the PS2 on 'Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr' does not solve the issue.
Is it possible to make it work by only using the red - white and yellow cable connected to the VGA box?

Thnx...

1st: using the composite cable (yellow one) is not going to work, you can only get a black and white image by pluggin it in the green Y slot of the component.
2nd: I think that the PS2 menu doesn't output a component progressive signal until you get into games that can do so. Anyway, switching to Y Pb Pr is the right thing to do IF YOU ARE USING A COMPONENT CABLE, leaving RGB, you'll see green. At least you should.

Again: this thing converts COMPONENT to VGA, not Composite to VGA.
