Now i'm having xcm1080p,xbox360, and a laptop. I can't connect XCM to my laptop because my laptop don't have an VGA input. Can anybody recommend me any solution that i can play through my laptop screen? And if it is impossible should i buy only an LCD monitor or i need to buy both LCD monitor and a PC case to play...

There is no way to play it on a laptop screen, you do not have an input which is needed.

Hey that was not a good reply TEAM XCM member... Okay back to the asker - first of all I would like to ask few things, - What is the make of your laptop - Do you have component cables for the xbox - Are you willing to get an lcd monitor? If you are willing to get an lcd monitor, make sure that the monitor has a native resolution that fits in the XCM Mega cool vga box's compatibility list(mentioned in the list of resolutions in your manual) Getting a FULL HD monitor would be the best bet. And about the PC cabinet, that you were asking, it is absolutely not necessary to have. You were probably asking because the connection diagram in the manual suggests so. I would like to tell you that it is only shown in order that the USB cable that comes out from the XCM Mega cool vga box, gets powered up using the usb port on the pc which would most probably be besides the monitor. But that's not what team xcm thought of while designing the xcm mega cool vga box, instead their thought was that the usb power can be taken from the console itself, because all the consoles are having a usb port and hence you can easily power up the xcm mega cool vga box using that usb port on any console. So there is absolutely no necessity to have a complete PC CABINET solely for the purpose of powering up that XCM mega cool vga box. You can power it up using the usb ports on your console. If you do that, you're ready to go. But before that let me know, the make of your laptop, maybe we can work out a solution. ![]() After all that XCM box is not so cheap that you just want it to lie around and do nothing. Ask me if you have any questions. Last edited by wroxtar; 08-06-2009 at 02:39 PM. |
