Default XCM 1080p Mega-Cool VGA box question.

Hello,
I am planning to buy the XCM 1080p Mega-Cool VGA Box, but I'm not planning on using it the usual way, I have a capture card, and it has component inputs and outputs, now I can't get the VGA to work without a converter ( I'm playing on a monitor, and I'm playing on the Xbox 360. ), so I was planning to use this box to convert the component outs of my capture card to VGA.

So, the XCM component cables will go into my capture card, and the component outputs from the capture card will be inserted into the XCM, then I will connect the VGA cable from the XCM to my monitor.
Now I don't know if this works, if the cable is only compatible with the XCM box, or if it could just take any component input and convert it to VGA.

I also have another question, I see Audio Input on the side of the box, do you need to put an audio in in order to be able to hear audio? I'm using optical audio myself, and I hook it up to the back of the Xbox where theres an optical input for DD 5.1 sound.

I hope you have the answers for me, if it would work, I'd be very happy.

Alright, well I've finally recieved the XCM 1080p Mega-cool VGA box, and I'm glad to say that it works, one small problem however, when it's converted I notice that the video is over-saturated, is there any way to fix this? It's not because of the capture card, because the feed on that is great : .

But the XCM 1080p makes my games look a lil worse than my previous Xbox 360 VGA HD cable, any way to change this saturation problem?
